There's a certain pressure around finding "your" fragrance, like it's a single decision you make once and live with forever. Why one signature scent asks too much

You don't need ten bottles. Three or four fragrances, each doing a distinct job, covers most people's lives more completely than one "perfect" scent ever could. Something like: a fresh, easy option for daytime and work. Something warmer and a bit more expressive for evenings. Maybe a lighter, clean option for the gym or hot weather. And if you're someone who travels or goes to a lot of different kinds of events, a fourth for whatever your life specifically demands — date nights, formal occasions, whatever comes up often enough to warrant its own bottle.
The point isn't the number. It's giving yourself permission to have options instead of loyalty to one bottle out of habit.
Start smaller than you think
You don't need to buy four full bottles to build this out. This is genuinely where sample sets earn their price back many times over — you can build a rotation slowly, testing a fresh option against your existing go-to, without committing to a full bottle of something you're not sure about yet. Most people's fragrance wardrobe wasn't planned out in advance. It came together one honest "actually, I reach for this a lot" at a time.
If you only ever own one fragrance, that's completely fine too. But if you've ever stood in front of your collection wondering why nothing feels right for tonight, the answer probably isn't that you own the wrong fragrance. It's that you only own one.
